(under subclass 415) Subject matter wherein the type-bar* member is oscillated from a rest position to a print-point* position, the oscillation being effected by a component that rotates or oscillates about an axis, which component has an edge periphery that varies in radius about the periphery and which component is associated with the type-bar to cause the type-bar to move toward the print-point as the component oscillates or rotates.
