(under subclass 408) Subject matter wherein type-face* elements are carried by respective type-bar* members and wherein each type-bar is moved from a rest position to a print-point* position by way of a reciprocable bar having teeth along one edge thereof and a rotatable disc having teeth on the periphery thereof, the teeth of the disc meshing with the teeth of the bar so that movement of one toothed element causes movement of the other toothed element which causes movement of the type-bar.
