DEFINITION

Classification: 400/38

Including feeding of wide carbon paper transverse to feed of record-medium:

(under subclass 37) Subject matter wherein the record-medium* of a typewriter is fed in a first direction coinciding with the line-space* direction, and wherein said carbon paper is moved (i.e., fed) in a second direction substantially perpendicular to the first direction and the carbon paper has a width dimension that is relatively large and approximately equal to the length of a page* of record-medium.

(1) Note. In some typewriters of this subclass the carbon paper is wound on either a supply roll or a take-up roll or both.
