(under subclass 332.1) Subject matter wherein said pawl* members are supported by a component, which component is mounted for movement relative to said ratchet* bar to enable one or another of the pawls to engage one or another of the teeth or notches of the ratchet bar, whereby the ratchet bar, and thereby the carriage*, is alternately restrained against movement, released for movement, and restrained against movement.
