For case-shift by type-head (e.g., spherical type-head) movement:
(under subclass 251) Subject matter wherein the typewriter is provided with a type-head* that includes a type-set-assemblaged*, which type-head is moved by case-shift* mechanism for selection of the form of character* symbol to be used.
(1) Note. The typewriter of this subclass often is provided with a "golf-ball" or spheroidal type-head*. See the definition of type-head in the Glossary, section III, for a discussion of other configurations of type-head elements.
