Renovation of used ribbon:

(under subclass 191) Subject matter wherein the transfer-medium* is a ribbon* which ribbon during typing is at least partially depleted of ink*, and the ribbon is treated to maintain or increase its efficacy as a transfer-medium while the ribbon is on the typewriter.

(1) Note. Examples of ribbon treatment provided for in this subclass are adding ink to the ribbon, moistening the ribbon, etc.
