(under the class definition) Subject matter comprising a display medium in the form of a check, label or tag, adapted to bear indicia intended to convey information to a person in close proximity to the display medium.

(1) Note. A display medium of the type included herein may convey the information about an object to which it is attached; or it may be a token which denotes a value, conveys information about a specific though unattached object, or functions as a display advertising a related object.
