(under subclass 168) Subject matter wherein a high voltage is applied to a conductor (e.g., wire) which causes a current to flow to the member to be charged by ionization of the air or gas surrounding the conductor.
(1) Note. This condition is not sufficient to cause sparking.
(2) Note. This subject matter may include an arrangement to supply new corona wire.
