Continuous mechanical rotation:

(under subclass 4) Subject matter including means for electrically interfacing the source or detector in such manner that continuous unidirectional mechanical rotation can take place without interruption of the operation of the source or detector.

(1) Note. Slip rings, energy storage within the rotating structure, and telemetering signals from the rotating to the stationary structure are typical means used in systems of this type.
