(under subclass 315) Subject matter wherein the repeater is used in a system having two or more stations communicate using one channel of a plurality of channels; the channel is assigned based upon the availability of the plurality of channels, and the assignment is controlled by sending supervisory information over a control channel.
(1) Note. The channel assignment for a communication may vary during the communication between the two stations.
(2) Note. The assignment of a channel bearing supervisory information may vary with time, generally daily.
