Guide during storage or retrieval:
(under subclass 277) Subject matter wherein a groove is used to position or track the interaction element for engagement adjacent the information bearing area of the storage medium.
(1) Note. The guide groove of this subclass is usually unmodulated. The information area may be at the bottom of the
guide, or to one side, and may be of any of the types of interaction classifiable in subclasses 99+.
(2) Note. Subcombinations with magnetic storage are excluded from this class and are classified in Class 360, subclass 128.
