126.~ Electrical modification or sensing of storage medium (e.g., capacitive, resistive, electrostatic charge)

DEFINITION

Classification: 369/126

Electrical modification or sensing of storage medium (e.g., capacitive, resistive, electrostatic charge):

(under subclass 99) Subject matter wherein the information signal is stored or retrieved by either (a) modulating an electrical property of the storage medium by an electrical

transducer, or (b) sensing an electrical property of the storage medium by a transducer electrically related thereto.

(1) Note. Electrical properties may include charge, capacitance, etc.

(2) Note. A charged particle (e.g., electron) beam may be considered either invisible radiation or electrical current depending upon the manner in which such a beam interacts with the storage medium.
