(under subclass 113) Subject matter including means with a nonelectrical characteristic alterable by the time signal or during the time interval, which characteristic indicates by the degree of its alteration the length of the time interval.

(1) Note. An example of the subject matter of this subclass is an electrolytic cell from which the duration of a time interval is determined by measuring the quantity of the deposit of a metal element from the electrolyte brought about a flow of current through the electrolyte during the time interval to be determined.
