Classification: 360/8

(under the class definition) Subject matter specifically arranged for recording or reproducing a signal in such a manner that the signal, as recorded, has redundant portions deleted therefrom or, as reproduced, occupies a different amount of time or a different band of frequencies than that occupied by the original signal.
