Complex signal (in phase and quadrature):
(under subclass 175) Subject matter including receiver circuit means to separate returned radar signals into "in phase" and quadrature" components.
(1) Note. "In phase" signals have the same frequency and pass through their maximum and minimum values of like polarity at the same instant.
(2) Note. "Quadrature" signals exist when the phase difference between them and the "in phase" signals is one-fourth of a period or 90 degrees.
