For numerical pulse type transmission:

(under subclass 22) Subject matter in which the meaning of the pulse code is determined solely by the number of pulses transmitted.

(1) Note. The type of code found in this subclass is known in the art as the numerical pulse type.

(2) Note. The pulses may, but need not, be identical.
