Treating liquid displaces moisture:

(under subclass 339) Process wherein the liquid treating agent replaces moisture in the material by the action of the treating liquid supplanting the moisture.

(1) Note. Normally, additional treatment is necessary to remove the treating liquid from the treated material after displacement of the moisturizing fluid.
