DEFINITION

Classification: 338/323

(under subclass 322) Subject matter wherein the resistance element is elongated in shape with a terminal connected to the element intermediate the ends of the element, and/or wherein a third terminal is connected to the resistance element physically or electrically between the connection of two other terminals.

(1) Note. The elongated element may be coiled or curved, the essential characteristic being a stretched out length appreciably greater than the thickness.
