(under subclass 2) Subject matter including resistance structure in series with the strain gauge resistor, whose resistance value increases or decreases significantly with the temperature change, for the purpose of offsetting at least partly the effect of temperature change on the strain gauge resistor or furnishing a reference for comparison purposes as in the Wheatstone bridge network in which the strain gauge resistor may be connected.
(1) Note. The temperature coefficient of the resistance structure may have the same or opposite sign (positive or negative) as the temperature coefficient of the strain gauge resistor.
