(under subclass 14) Subject matter including at least one electrothermal temperature responsive composite element consisting of two different metals, bonded together, and having different coefficients of expansion such that when heated by a thermal current a bending motion of the composite element results. The resultant motion is utilized either directly or through an intermediate mechanical means to control the opening and/or closing of an electrical circuit.
