DEFINITION

Classification: 337/179

(under subclass 176) Subject matter including significant means whereby the movement of the fuse tube is delayed for a predetermined time interval after the melting or blowing of the fuse element. The time interval is generally designed to be sufficiently long for the expelled gases from the tube to become adequately dispelled and/or deionized to an extent where they are no longer conducting.
