DEFINITION

Classification: 336/116

(under subclass 115) Subject matter wherein one of the coils is provided with means (1) to change the physical length of the coil which is effective as an inductive component, (2) to add or cut out turns or coils or to substitute a coil section or component of different characteristics or position for a coil or (3) to change the direction of current flow through at least a portion of the coil conductor.
