(under subclass 177) Oscillators wherein means is provided for periodically or continuously varying the output frequency of the oscillator over a range of frequencies. The means, for example, may be (1) another oscillator driving a reactance tube in the frequency determining circuit of the oscillator whose frequency is being swept, or (2) a continuously running motor driving a reactance element in the frequency determining circuit of the oscillator whose
frequency is being swept.
