DEFINITION
Classification: 330/50
(under the class definition) Subject matter including in addition to the amplifying device of the vacuum tube type, a similar vacuum tube, with the cathode unheated, so that the additional tube does not serve as an active element but merely presents impedance relations in the circuit similar to those of the amplifying device vacuum tube, usually for neutralizing the effects of the amplifying device interelectrode impedances.

76+, for amplifiers having signal feedback means to compensate for inter-electrode impedance. See the notes and search notes thereunder.
