(under subclass 18.1) Subject matter wherein the means for describing lines produces lines at any unvarying distance from each other throughout their length, or at an unvarying distance from a guiding edge or the like.

(1) Note. While this group of instruments is almost always employed in producing straight lines, still they are not necessarily limited to that use and are therefore not classifiable under the "Straightline" group.
