DEFINITION

Classification: 322/81

(under subclass 80) Subject matter wherein the excitation circuit resistor is a temperature variable resistor.

(1) Note. Thermally varied resistances may either be (1) resistors whose resistance varies inherently with variation in temperature (e.g., the resistance of copper increases with increase in temperature while the resistance of carbon decreases with increase in temperature) or (2) resistors which are varied by means of a temperature responsive operator.
