(under subclass 167) Systems wherein the discharge device is provided with at least one principal anode and at least one principal cathode and an auxiliary discharge electrode, the discharge device being connected in the system with one source of supply connected between a principal cathode and a principal anode and another source of supply of a diverse type connected between the auxiliary discharge electrode and one of the principal electrodes.
(1) Note. The type of current supplies which are considered to be diverse types are defined in note (2) to the definition of subclass 160.
