DEFINITION

Classification: 30/403

(under subclass 401) Device in which the cutting element traverses the wall of the container to detach a portion of the container wherein the detecting means senses completion of the cutting operation and the regulating means acts to stop the operation of the device.

(1) Note. The stopping means may comprise a timing mechanism which, by disclosure, deactivates the controller (e.g., motor, etc.) at a point in time corresponding to the completion of the cutting operation.
