DEFINITION

Classification: 30/169

(under subclass 165) Cutting tools in which the blade edge or the blade edges are so formed and so related to the handle that the tool is especially adapted to be moved over a single surface and/or a plurality of adjacent or contiguous surfaces to remove material from such surface or surfaces by a scraping action of the edge or edges of the tool.

(1) Note. Cutting tools having a more general cutting function will be found in the structure subclasses of this class, even though called scrapers.

(2) Note. Cutting tools with single movable blades, even though called "scrapers", will be found in this class, subclasses 272.1+.
