DEFINITION

Classification: 29/888.011

Repairing, converting, servicing or salvaging:

(under subclass 888.01) Process wherein an existing I.C. engine is (1) restored or otherwise put in a more functional, stable or improved working condition; (2) mechanically modified or altered to produce an article of substantially different capacity, size, function or type of operation; or (3) treated to recover a portion of the whole thereof which would otherwise constitute discarded material or using such material in a process of mechanical manufacturing.

(2) Note. Making a new replacement part, per se, is not found in this subclass unless that part is claimed as being installed in the device being repaired.
