Classification: 29/403.3

Separating one material from another:

(under subclass 403.1) Process including the step of removing one constituent from a different constituent.

(1) Note. Usually at least one of the constituents is

metallic although this is not a necessity for original placement in this subclass.

(2) Note. The removing operation may be mechanical, chemical, or electric in nature.
