DEFINITION

(under subclass 274) Method or apparatus wherein a recess is positioned opposite the point of entry of the fluid stream for receiving and altering the flow characteristics of the fluid after passage of the same through or against the thread to thus modify the degree of turbulence to which the thread is subjected.

(1) Note. Such chambers are usually provided to prevent disorderly secondary gas currents from interfering with thread entanglement by the jet.
