Axial:

(under subclass 140.11) Subject matter wherein the resilient means is an elastomeric or like spring disposed between the vibrating component and a supporting component with the energy from the vibrating component being applied approximately parallel to the central axis of the resilient means.

(1) Note. Many of the devices found herein and in the indented subclass have the spring located between two members spaced along the central axis of the spring either located as two end members or as an end member and an intermediate member.

(2) Note. Many of the devices found herein and in the indented subclass have a conically shaped or tapered spring and have one of the end or intermediate members of cup-shape receiving the spring (e.g., cup/bush type).
