(under subclass 323) Apparatus including at least one cable-guiding element, (e.g., pulley, roller, sprocket) having a generally circular perimeter and rotating about an axis through its center in response to the movement of the cable over its perimeter, the element positioned along the path of travel of the cable and spaced a distance from the drum.

(1) Note. The distance between the perimeters of the element and the drum is large enough to allow the cable to pass unimpeded.
