DEFINITION

Classification: 250/551

(under subclass 200) Subject matter including a light source and an optical link which couples the light source and photocell and wherein an electrical input signal applied to the light source is optically coupled to a detector which provides an electrical output signal having the characteristics of the input signal.

(1) Note. In general the isolator of this subclass is intended as an electric circuit element to insulate the output from the input and/or provide common mode rejection at the input.
