DEFINITION

(under subclass 290) Subject wherein the field means produces a desired ion path of motion containing a unidirectional curvature of greater than 180 degrees.

(1) Note. The "Circular" path need not be uniplanar. Thus, field means producing spiral paths will be found in this subclass.
