DEFINITION

Classification: 246/48

(under subclass 47) Systems in which an electric circuit on the train, normally closed through the track-rails, is broken by the passage of the train over one or more insulated rail-joints when a condition of danger exists, the break in the rails being electrically bridged under conditions of safety.
