Having either noninterlocking element in, interrupted, or unequal length series:

(under subclass 403) Zipper* wherein the series of elements of one of the interlocking surfaces either (a) includes one or more elements in the series having no exterior face intended to interlock with an element of the mating surface, (b) includes a gap between two of the elements in the series which is significantly larger than the spacing between the majority of elements in the series, or (c) extends a significantly longer distance than the opposed series of elements.
