(under subclass 34) Subject matter in which a by pass is interposed in the cooling circuit to by pass the radiator, usually including a thermostatically operated valve responsive to the temperature of the coolant or engine and positioned in the circuit to direct the flow of the coolant either to the radiator or the by pass.
