DEFINITION

Classification: 234/97

(under subclass 94) Device wherein the conditioning mechanism comprises a coded-interposer*.

(1) Note. The interposer when in effective position, serves either (1) as the last link of the power train to the driven

tools of the selected pairs, or (2) as blocking means to hold the "fixed" tools in effective position to cooperate with their associated driven tools.

(2) Note. One of a plurality of elements which is movable into an active position to control the selecting of a plurality of tool pairs, but which does not contact the tools, may constitute a coded selector member*, for which see subclass 102.
