DEFINITION

Classification: 228/3.1

(under the class definition) Device having means for applying a mechanical force to the meeting faces* of two work parts to produce a fusion bond at said area without the aid of any other force or energy (e.g., heat).

(1) Note. A patent disclosing the bonding of work heated to any degree above and beyond room temperature is excluded herefrom.
