DEFINITION

Classification: 227/44

(under subclass 39) Device wherein the workpiece moving means comprises a series of workpiece engaging portions arranged in a circular array or as a belt-like loop of articulated portions, each such portion being adapted to engage and move a workpiece relative to a driving-station.

(1) Note. The conveyor portions usually, but not necessarily, provide support for the work as it is being moved and while it is at rest at one or more treating stations.
