DEFINITION

Classification: 208/167

(under subclass 166) Processes wherein solids are introduced onto the surface of a compact bed as a freely falling stream or curtain and liquid mineral oil to be converted is sprayed against the freely falling curtain of solids.

(1) Note. In many of the processes classified herein the curtain of falling solids prevents the liquid spray of mineral oil from contacting the walls of the reaction vessel.
