DEFINITION

(under subclass 383) Apparatus wherein the conveyor comprises a plurality of components that are connected together and moved in a closed-loop path such that each component is followed by and preceded by another component and a part of said closed-loop path coincides with the path of an article to be conveyed, each component forming a receptacle that is configured to the configuration of the article to be conveyed, and wherein another part of said closed-loop path coincides with a hopper or bin in which the articles are temporarily stored in haphazard array, whereby as a receptacle moves within the hopper an article will be received thereinto if its configuration conforms to the receptacle configuration and the so-received article will be conveyed.
