DEFINITION

(under subclass 373) Apparatus wherein an article moving on a conveyor is momentarily stopped in its movement, the stoppage occurring by reason of the article being securely held, and wherein the article so held is rotated about a stationary axis of rotation before the article is released for further conveyance by the same, or a different conveyor.
(1) Note. The holding can be performed by a suction member, or a magnetic member, or a gripper couple comprising two surfaces engaging the article frictionally on opposing sides thereof.
