(1) Note. Pressure applying device - Figure 5 denotes a specimen of a typical pressure applying device as used in the textile art. In Figure 5, above, "A" denotes a saddle; "B" denotes a stirrup; "C" denotes pressure rolls; "D" denotes a pivoted fulcrumed lever; "E" denotes a pressure applying attachment means; "F" denotes a roll stand, the pressure is transmitted to the pressure roll "C" through the pivoted fulcrumed lever "D", which is pivoted to a fixed center, and in turn through the stirrup "B" through the saddle "A".
