DEFINITION

Classification: 188/72.2

(under subclass 72.1) Apparatus wherein said component-pressing means includes mechanism to augment braking pressure applied by said means, the mechanism acting after the initiation of the means by a brake user and also acting without further intervention by the brake user.

(1) Note. Energy for augmenting or increasing brake pressure is usually derived from kinetic energy of the

rotating brake disc, as by dragging a brake element with and toward the disc, but may be derived from another source. However, such energy is in addition to that provided by the muscle power of the user.
