DEFINITION

The carrier is propelled along a track by a continuously running cable, to which when the carrier is placed in the proper position it is automatically attached by means of a gripper on the carrier. The carrier runs to a designated station, when the gripper is automatically operated and the car switched to its terminal. The point of release and switching is determined by the configuration of the car.
