(under subclass 207) Apparatus comprising a tool shaft having a fluid head secured to the end thereof located above ground said head being provided with an axially extending passage which is intersected by a generally perpendicular passage extending from the axially extending passage to the exterior of the head, and having a seal located in the head which is adapted to cooperate with a means movable through the axial passage, or the perpendicular passage and one end of the axial passage.
(1) Note. Generally the means reciprocable in the head may consist of a core barrel, or a wire line for retrieving a core barrel.
