Classification: 174/200

(under subclass 194) Insulators in which the socket in the insulator is provided with a lining or shell commonly known as a thimble for receiving the pin.

(1) Note. Compare this class, subclasses 195 and 210, for multi-part insulators comprising nested, cup-shaped parts, the inner-most of which is provided with a pin receiving socket.

(2) Note. See this class, subclass 202 and indented subclasses, for thimbles forming a part of, or attached to, the pin and secured in the insulator by means of a threaded or bayonet joint.
